Bofta Yimam is a D.C-based Emmy® & Edward R. Murrow Award-Winning Journalist, National TV Correspondent, International Speaker, and Digital Course Creator. For more than a decade, Bofta has reported the morning and evening news for TV affiliates around the country, including CBS and ABC.
She is the first Ethiopian American newscaster to receive an Emmy®. Some of her other awards include honored with the Asian-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry International Leadership Award, and the Black Business Review’s Top 40 Under 40 Professionals.
It is because she dealt with teenage depression and has risen to an award-winning broadcasting career, Bofta now works to inspire others that anything is possible.
